Planefinder.net

We've been busy and our new version of planefinder.net is now live. We believe that this brings the website up to the same standard as the mobile apps.

Some of the new features we have added are....
Live moving planes
Detailed aircraft information including photographs and drawings - your photos will now appear here too.
Detailed flight information including arrival and destination locations
Filter by altitude, speed or airline
Search by location, flight number or aircraft registration
Plotting of historic flight paths (Playback)
Embed a location specific map in your own website
Share a URL to a plane, a flight or a location
Variable speed playback of historic flight data by date and time
Share a plane or flight via twitter or Facebook
Google Earth “Fly Me” simulator
We think that some of these new features are really neat! Our favourite is the playback which you can increase to a speedy 120x normal speed! In the database is some data from the Grimsvotn ash cloud, Libya, and the Australian volcanic ash cloud to name but a few! It is really easy to playback and then share that link with friends and family.
We're also quite pleased with the live moving planes. No longer does this feel like a website but now has a more fluid and dynamic feel, again much more like the apps!
We've also kept the site advert free! Please tell everyone you can about it so we can keep it that way!
Anyway, enough from us!
Please check out the new website here or check out this video walkthrough on You Tube!
We hope you like it - Feedback (good and bad) always gratefully received!
